Melanie
Melanie began her relationship with yoga in 2009 when her career as a dancer was beginning to wind down.
She enjoyed the inward reflection yoga brought rather than the outward comparison that can often come from being a performer.
In 2011 Melanie began her journey as a Soulful business woman in the online health and wellbeing world. She partnered with a holistic and ethical brand called Arbonne and she began coaching other like-minded people to grow their wellness business.
It was truly the start of her personal and spiritual journey. She began to transfer the knowledge and yoga philosophy she had learned on the mat to mastering her mindset, handling overwhelm, imposter syndrome, self-sabotage and learning to trust her intuition and the Universal Laws.
Along the journey of Self-discovery and soulful living Melanie has had the honour of learning from and being in the room with Marianne Williamson, Gabby Bernstein, Kyle Gray and other top thought leaders in their field. She has also studied Vipassana meditation on their 10 day, 10 hours a day, silent retreat.
The most transformational time for Melanie has been through the study of Kundalini Yoga and she qualified as a teacher through the RaMa Institute of Applied Yogic Science &Technologyy and also received personal and business coaching through the great, late Guru Jagat.
Melanie is also a business coach and helps people who feel unhappy in their career, or life choices or feel uncertain of how they can create an income doing what they love.
She is passionate about using movement, meditation, breath work, journalling and asking really good questions, to gain great results.
Melanie went into partnership with Charlotte the owner of Shadwell Studio in 2023 and she is so excited to start teaching and become an avid member herself. She can’t wait to create amazing retreats, workshops and invite guest speakers she’s met around the world to our beautiful little corner of North Leeds.
Melanie is also a qualified Reiki practitioner, a public speaker and a creator of journals and tees!
A lover of travelling and being in nature it’s fair to say you may find Melanie on the beaches of Australia, wandering the Old Towns of Mallorca and Ibiza, or nestled in the green countryside of Leeds (probably the Hollies) with family and friends.
