Emma

Emma began practicing yoga regularly in 2015. Initially she found the mindfulness and meditation elements of yoga helpful to deal with a stressful work environment, but soon found that the movement and engagement with my body helped her to deal with the chronic back pain she had suffered for years. Helping her to tune into what feels good in her body and particularly back and what is detrimental (mainly sitting on chairs - which is why you often see Emma sitting on the floor!).

She was hooked pretty much immediately and has since found that yoga is beneficial to all parts of her life. In particular, finding the ability to manage pain and stress through a regular yoga practice transformational. In 2018 she decided to train as a yoga teacher to deepen her practice and simply learn more. It was the start of a wonderful journey of discovery and she is now qualified in Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Mindfulness and Yoga Nidra, and Menopause Yoga.

She started teaching yoga regularly at the beginning of 2021. Through yoga, Emma was introduced to reiki healing and the powerful transformations it offers.

She is now qualified in Usui Method of Natural Healing to Reiki Master level. Reiki has enabled Emma to deepen her meditation practice and protect and boost her energy levels, using self-healing to work through crises in confidence.

She loves to offer this healing to others and support their healing journey. The biggest learning in Emma's journey so far has been that it’s OK to prioritise her own wellbeing and absolutely essential to prioritise rest. Emma's classes focus on engagement with the body and moving mindfully, they are a lot of fun and there is never any pressure to join in if it doesn't feel good for you.
